2005 Opening Night Benefit Dinner

Venture “Inside the Kitchen” and watch as five Las Vegas celebrity chefs each plate and finish their course in the resort’s Ballroom, with video cameras rolling to capture the excitement on screens positioned throughout the room. Confirmed chefs are Bruno Davaillon , Executive Chef of Mix at THEhotel at Mandalay Bay, Damien Dulas, Executive Chef at Restaurant Guy Savoy at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, Bradley Ogden of Bradley Odgen at Caesars Palace and Lark Creek Restaurant Group, Frederic Robert, Executive Pastry Chef at the Wynn Las Vegas Resort, and Julian Serrano, Chef at Picasso at Bellagio Hotel and Casino. The chefs’ creations will be paired with wines presented by Master Sommeliers. Liam Mayclem of San Francisco’s “Eye on the Bay” on CBS 5 TV hosts the event. $300 per guest, inclusive of wine pairing, tax, and gratuity. Formal attire recommended.

Four Star Grand Cru Wine Dinner [SOLD OUT]

San Francisco Four Star chefs Hubert Keller of Fleur de Lys, David Kinch of Manresa, Roland Passot of La Folie, and Ron Siegel of The Dining Room at The Ritz-Carlton, San Francisco pair a gourmet California fall harvest menu to Grand Crus from Burgundy and first growth wines from Bordeaux selected by Matthew Turner, Wine Director, The Ritz-Carlton, Half Moon Bay. Table service by Master Sommeliers and top Bay area sommeliers completes a truly superlative dining experience. Includes a welcome reception hosted by Dom Perignon. Field Trip to Harley Farms Goat Dairy
and Farmer John’s Pumpkin Farm [SOLD OUT]
Sunday, October 29 – 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Travel to the fields of Half Moon Bay and Pescadero to visit two of the top agricultural treasures of the region. Harley Farms’ nationally award-winning goat cheese is produced on the county’s only farmstead dairy just inland from the Pacific. Embark on a guided tour, which includes learning about cheese making and goat milking, and a special cheese tasting. The second half of the Field Trip takes guests to Farmer John's Pumpkin Farm, where John Muller introduces visitors to more than 50 varieties of locally grown pumpkins, Coastside history and additional seasonal bounty at this longtime family farm. Gourmet box lunch and signature pumpkin cookies included. $100 per guest

Brunch in Navio

Finale: Chefs’ Challenge and Grand Tasting [SOLD OUT]

Grand Tasting - 5 to 7 p.m.

The weekend’s finale features chefs competing in the Chefs’ Challenge, a 60-minute cooking competition that is a true “battle of the sexes,” pitting San Francisco chefs Gerald Hirigoyen of Piperade and Laurent Manrique of Aqua against Elizabeth Falkner of Citizen Cake and Melissa Perello from the Fifth Floor restaurant in San Francisco. The two teams race to create a three-course meal based on one secret ingredient, and expert judges determine the winner in front of a live audience in stadium-style seating in the resort’s Ballroom. The competition is hosted by Liam Mayclem. After the “Chef’s Challenge” is the Grand Tasting, featuring a top-notch selection of San Francisco Bay Area restaurants, wineries and specialty food vendors, with music DJ’d by Frenchy Le Freak, one of the hottest in the industry, for an electrifying conclusion to the weekend.
